  1. Guess that all the 2004 notes must be badly worn that new notes must be issued.

    So I guess you can call the 2004 100 ringgit as an unofficial commemorative note?

    I am sure there are still plenty of 2004 $100 notes in UNC condition yet to be released, as you know that they do not normally used up to the last note before releasing new ones.

    As for this one, no, it is not considered as commemorative (official or unofficial), as this note is only printed with year date of 2008. The previous print was printed with the Sultan date of birth ie 15.07.2004.
