...Solomon Islands - $5 ND 2022 Polymer Reprint Issue s. Dr Luke Forau & Mckinnie P Dentana 916619 radar

 Solomon Islands

Central Bank of Solomon Islands (CBSI)
(since 1983)
Currency - Dollar (SBD)

This $5 polymer reprint note was reportedly released in 2022. There are no changes to the design, except it has new signatures for the bank Governor and for the Secretary, Minister of Finance. The first series issue was signed by the Governor, Denton Hehenoro Rarawa, and the Secretary, Minister of Finance, Harry Degruit Kuma, and was first introduced in 2019.

Until today, the $5 note is the only banknote printed on polymer substrate, despite the CBSI first using polymer notes in 2001 for the CBSI Silver Jubilee celebration. Unlike those current paper notes series in Solomon Islands, I believe that this polymer note is printed by Note Printing Australia (NPA). As per NPA's usual policy, no replacement prefix has been printed, or at least, none sighted yet.

Footnote;-
The above note is printed with the prefix of A/5. I believe this is the first prefix for this reprint. The initial issue of this note back in 2019 was printed with A/1 as the first prefix, and I have sighted the prefixes of A/2 and A/3. I have not seen the A/4 yet.
