World First Plastic Banknote
As it said above, this is the world's first plastic banknote. This note was acquired via a local dealer through a postal auction. The price that I have paid for was my top bid in the early 90s, and in those days, there were not that many crazy collectors that would go all out to get this note at any cost. Believe me, as I had paid my fair share for those ridiculously selling prices for a few other Haiti tyvek notes but I am pleased that I did not have to fork out more for this note.
Fifty Gourdes, ND1980 P235Aa [63aud/A]
Note: It is believed that only one prefix was issued, as the reprint for this denomination started with prefix 'D'.
A = Australia
D = Overseas Dealer
e = eBay
