Three notes posted here are the 5, 10 and 500 dirhams all printed with the year date of 2023. These are all polymer notes and the third series of banknotes issued by the United Arab Emirates since 1973.
The polymer series was first started in 2021 when the central bank issued a 50 dirhams commemorative polymer note. Then in 2022, it released the two polymer notes of 5 and 10 dirhams. The 10 dirhams was first released on 21.04.2022, and the 5 dirhams was released on 25.04.2022. The two notes of 5 and 10 dirhams posted below are reprints and both printed with the year date of 2023. Whilst all three notes are printed with the Georgian year of 2023, however, the Hijri year is not. Both the 5 and 10 dirhams are printed with the 1444 AH year and the 500 is printed with 1445 AH year (after 19.07.2023)
The 500 dirhams is a new issue and is the first printed in polymer substrate material for this denomination. The design for this new note is quite impressive. On the front and back, it showcases the development of Dubai with modern buildings constructed from 1999 to 2021.

Front - Ajman Fort is a double story rock and is located in the city of Ajman in the emirate of Ajman. Ajman is situated in the western part of the United Emirates. The fort was founded in the 18th century.

Back - Dhayah Fort is located in the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, which is situated on the right side of Ajman. This fort was also founded in the 18th century.

Ten Dirhams

Front - Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi is the largest mosque in the country. This mosque was built in 2007 at a cost of 2 billion dirhams.

Back - Khorfakkan amphitheater in the emirate of Sharjah is a cultural landmark located in the city of Khor Fakkan. This amphitheater was inaugurated by the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhamad Al Qasimi in late 2020.

| Terra Sustainability Pavilion in Expo City Dubai |
Front - The main feature on the front is the Terra Sustainability Pavilion, which was built in 2021. This building was one of the main attractions of the Expo 2020 Dubai.

Back - The back depicts three major buildings all situated in Dubai. In the center is the Museum of the Future which was completed in early 2022 at a cost of US$136m. To the right is the world famous Burj Khalifa. It is the world's tallest structure ever built and it cost US$1.5 billion to build. Construction for this building started in 2004 and completed in 2009. The Burj Khalifa is a mixed-use skyscraper. The building includes 30,000 homes and nine hotels. printed behind the Museum of the Future is the Emirates tower which was built in 1999.
